...for everyone who wants to deepen his/her connection to self, loved ones , to the earth...

and for those willing to make changes in their lives...

(Sandra Ingerman)

Shamanism is probably the oldest spiritual practice  known to humankind, dating back at least 40,000 years and its practice continues to attract people from all walks of life around the globe today! The word 'Shaman' comes from the Tungus tribe in Siberia and means 'one who sees in the dark'. The shaman journeys into non ordinary realities to meet with his/her spirit guides and power animals so that useful information  for the healing can be retrieved. This can take place in the Lower, Middle or Upper World, a traditional division of the non-ordinary reality.

Are you losing connection with who you really are and with the Earth you live on?

Are you giving your power away even uncounsciously, because you think you are not good enough, or not worth it, or many other reasons?

Do you find yourself 'stealing' from others' souls, maybe uncounsciously, through jealousy, hatred, regret?

Are you losing your enthusiasm and will to live, so 'others'  take charge of your life ?

And then you wonder why you keep on running down with a cold, you are depressed, you have a sore tommy, your back is in such a pain, or cancer is spreading so fast, for example.

Some of you might get a drug  to ease the pain, others might rely on a form of alternative therapy, others are just giving up...

Well, Shamanic healing is another option, which I would like to offer you...

SHAMANIC HEALING  helps you by healing the effects of past traumas, so that you can live a life in an inner state of balance and connection with yourself and the rest of the world. Whether it is an emotional or a physical issue you come with, the practitioner looks at the spiritual aspects of it: we are all beings of energy, and if this energy does not flow properly, an illness might appear. Illness is in fact classified under three main aspects:

1.       Loss of power, where you might be faced with chronic depression or a series of misfortunes, for example. A power animal retrieval is carried out to bring back the 'power' that was lost.

2.       Loss of soul, where your vital essence leaves your body to survive the trauma. You might feel not present in your body, or that something is missing in your life; you might suffer from addictions, depression, immune conditions for example. The practitioner will carry out a soul retrieval to bring back the soul part(s), which are ready to come back at this time to help you feeling whole again.

3.       Misplaced energy, or 'spiritual intrusion' that might come into the body to fill the void created by the loss. They are normally seen as localised illness, like a pain n the shoulder. In this case, an extraction will take place, where the intrusion is removed.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SESSION?

Shamanic healing involves a team work among practitioner, her guides and yourself: the practitioner is receptive  to the power of her helping spirits  who do the 'diagnosis' and give advice on the proper healing method; concurrently, you need to be receptive for the healing to be successful, ie.: you must be willing to receive the healing!

A session lasts about two hours: after an initial consultation to discuss the reason and the intention that brought you here and to answer further questions, you lie down  on a mat on the floor, close your eyes while focusing on your intention. The practitioner will carry out a shamanic journey with the use of drumming, while asking for help to her Power Animals and Teachers. She will then share the messages received (which she records on a tape) and help you  start the integration process. Make sure you give your-self some free time after it...

EFFECTS and LIFE after HEALING:

The effect(s) can vary from person to person : a shift/change can be experienced straight away (ie. feeling more grounded, happier,...), yet the healing can take weeks to integrate. As Sandra Ingerman suggests, the more open our hearts and bodies are , the more receptive  to the healing and the easier it is to integrate. Ultimately, you need to take full responsability  and continue to fill up your life through a healthy lifestyle, a supportive environment, while making the necessary changes so that illness does not recur. A follow-up session can usually take place after a few months, if necessary, and I am always available for support.

PERSONAL ANECDOTE: What brought me to shamanism?

I was attending my first week-end course at Lendrick Lodge when I looked at the other courses offered there, a huge  well in choices, I must say! It's one of those things like some juicy strawberries (!): you can't stop eating them!! I got intrigued and fascinated by it. So I found my-self booked in the shamanic practitioner course  and graduated in 2007...and the journey continues... Last year I have been invited to take part to Sandra Ingerman's teacher training course in New Mexico!

I find it difficult to explain in words what shamanic healing is about. I can say from my personal experience of both receiving and giving that it has helped me enormously on my journey. Knowing there are Power Animals around me to help and support me simply filled my heart with gratitude; re-establishing a deeper connection with the Earth and everything within her thought me about respect with one another. I really hope (among the many other things!) that one day we can all look at each other and be proud of what we have created!   Shamanic Healing helped me find my strenght and confidence, and much more...
